The Plan

For those who don't know, we recently bought a half acre lot and will soon start building. We are really excited about it. Even though we owned our condo before, this will actually be our frist real house. We will have about 3000 finished square feet plus a full basement.
And after being in our condo for six years and now an apartment, I am so excited to finally have a yard for the kids to play in and room for a vegetable garden. It will also be nice to have garages so we won't have to scrape the snow off of our cars. And the kids will have somewhere to keep their bikes and other outside toys.

So we wanted to share our house plan with you. Hopefully the pictures turn out ok. The first picture shows how the house will look from the front. The second one is the main floor. And the third picture shows the second floor. It will also have a full basement but since we're not finishing the basement right away that part of the plan isn't really very exciting. It looks like they'll start to build in about 3-4 weeks and we should be in the house in January. Of course we shouldn't have even talked with Jace about building a house until we were about to move in. He thinks our house must be almost done by now because to him we've been talking about it forever. He is constantly asking if our house is done yet, and he is convinced that his bedroom is also a master bedroom. Casey and I were talking about the master bedroom as we looked at plans so he decided that he wanted one too. It was easier to tell him that he can have a master bedroom than to argue with him. Thanks for looking, and I'll keep you updated on the progress of the house throughout the building process. Oh, and by the way, the bedroom on the main floor next to the master bedroom says nursery. That is in no way an announcement of any kind. We just told the builder we wanted a bedroom near the master bedroom while we have little ones. When they printed the plan they named it the nursery. That's probably the room we'll put Camden in when we move in.

Are you finishing the basement? or is there 3000 sq. ft. just on the main level?! Either way I am so excited for you guys! Word of advice pay someone to do EVERYTHING for you...it is less stressful that way! Can't waite to see the final product! PS. I love your blog and I linked you to mine as well.
