Golf Tournament in Vegas

Jace did such a great job when he competed in a golf tournament in Las Vegas. He had so much fun and it was great for me to see him compete. Usually Casey takes him golfing so I don't get to see how much he's improving through the year. I can't believe the progress he's made since last year's tournament. He can drive the ball about 100 yards and his chipping and putting skills are so sharp. It's really fun to watch him golf. I just love it.

Casey was his caddy. They are such a cute father-son pair.

I love the intense expression on his face in this one. you may have to click on the picture to make it bigger.

Watching where the ball went. I think this was the first hole.

His arms are so strong from all of his golfing. Look at those muscles!

He was stuck in this bunker for a couple of strokes but he was determined to get out of it. Again, he has such a look of determination on his face.

And it worked! He got out of the bunker.

Making a nice putt. Look at that beautiful course.

Here are the kids he golfed with. There were only three of them in this age group

There was some down-time between holes. But they're all ready with their drivers.

A nice, easy putt at the end.

And there they are at the end of the game. Jake, with the blue ribbon won 1st place, Jace took second, and Dillon, the boy with the green ribbon, took 3rd. Jace scored a 48 in the 9 hole round. He was only trailing the leader by 3 strokes. We are so proud of him.

So Much Fun in Vegas!

We went to Las Vegas last week so Jace could participate in a golf tournament and had so much fun. We decided to make a vacation of it and spend a few days there. We had a lot of fun doing some sightseeing and it was great to just get away for a few days.

The kids loved the hotel. I think Alek is calling for room service.

The Mirage Hotel has a dolphin habitat and also an area where they have Lions, tigers and...leopards. Jace got this lion to look at us by growling at it.

The kids didn't like sitting on this tiger statue because it was too hot for them. It didn't end up being the photo opp I thought it would be.

The dolphin habitat was great! The trainers were feeding and interacting with the dolphins while we were there.

We could get pretty close to the dolphins. We could sit on the wall that went around the edge of the tank. One area had a baby dolphin in it. Camden said, "Ohhhh...cute little baby dolphin." every time it was close to the wall.

We went to M&M world thinking we could save some money by going to something that was free. Then we bought $20 worth of candy there. Sounds like a lot of candy right? No. We could have bought the same amount at the store for about 5 bucks. Oh well, the kids loved picking their favorite colors of M&M's. Jace picked gray and green. Camden, of course, picked pink.

And they loved this race car!

The next post will be about Jace's tournament.
