I probably shouldn't admit this because then you'll all know how spoiled I am, but Casey has been off work since Alek was born. That's right, I have had him here with me for a whole month. But that's all about to change; starting next week Casey will go back to work and I will be on my own with the kids. See, I told you I'm spoiled.
It's been really nice having Casey here all this time. There were definitely days that I couldn't have made it without him. Casey is a great dad and husband. He took Jace and Camden out to see a movie and did other fun things with them so I could enjoy some quiet time at home with Alek. He also went to the store for me several times a week when I realized we were out of something and he even made a late night run to get me ice cream. (I figured that since I didn't send him for that while I was pregnant I could still make that request at some point.) So I don't know who will miss him more when he goes back to work, me or the kids.
But I think in some ways, Casey's looking forward to going back to work. At least when he's there he doesn't have to deal with spit-up on his shirt, a fussy baby and two cranky kids who need lunch, all at the same time. He'll be able to eat a meal without several people asking for bites or someone needing a diaper change halfway through. He can check his email without someone trying to "help" him type the password, and he can talk on the phone without having two kids trying to grab the phone out of his hands before he can even say "Hello."
As for me, I'll consider it a good day if the kids are fed a couple of times and we're all dressed by the time Casey gets home from work. Wish me luck!

LUCKY!
Flying solo with three boys is hard, so don't feel bad if you get NOTHING done in the span of an entire day. You'll get used to it in time. Good luck!
Good luck! I still can't quite handle one girl on some days...how pathetic am I? You'll do great.
You are a great mother! One that balances it all. :) I know there are some days I just couldn't do it without Randon's help.
